An Ordinary Pool Service Call. An Impossible Shadow.

After twelve years servicing residential pools, a technician knows what an ordinary workday looks like. He understands the equipment, the water, and the way sunlight falls across a backyard. At 414 Elm, something breaks that familiar pattern.

He is standing on the pool deck. His shadow is crouching. Its position does not match his body. Its movements do not follow his own. An outline he has spent his entire life ignoring suddenly demands his attention.

That encounter begins My Shadow Moves Differently Than I Do, a supernatural horror story built around the fear of something inseparable from you developing a will of its own.

When Something Familiar Becomes Frightening

A shadow is one of the most ordinary things a person can see. It follows without being asked. It changes with the light. It never needs an explanation. Until it stops behaving the way it should.

This story takes that everyday certainty and removes it. The setting is familiar: a residential backyard, a swimming pool, and a man doing his job. The impossible detail is close enough to recognize as his own shape.

For viewers drawn to supernatural mysteries and creepypasta-style storytelling, the premise creates an uncomfortable question: what would you do if your shadow made a movement you never made?

Animated Horror With a Dark Comic-Book Style

Pale Lantern Media brings the story to the screen through comic-book animation, atmospheric narration, dramatic lighting, and controlled color.

Bold linework and deep shadows give the series its dark graphic-novel appearance. The visual style places the story’s central image within every scene, making the relationship between light, darkness, and the human silhouette part of the viewing experience.

The complete edition lets you follow that atmosphere across all four chapters in a single sitting.
